Abstract
Some games like Path of Exile have a rich collection of player attributes. An insane amount of calculations is required for every projectile of every skill, often multiple times per frame. The goal is to analyze and understand games with similar complex skill systems. We can then leverage this to draw balance, design, and implementation decisions. A feature-rich but flexible encompassing ontology passes the knowledge to others in a combination of detail and generalization. Furthermore, the implementation of a code skeleton provides others with the means to create such games and further research the structures.
