In this manual we show you how to register for an exam in the application “Exams”.



Note: We recommend registering for exams via your curriculum. This ensures that the exam is part of your degree program.



1. Open “Exams”

Please log in to TUMonline.

Click on the application “Exams”:

The “Exams” view contains several tabs:

TabDescription
“All Exams”

Overview of exam dates offered at TUM or the selected organization that are approved for web display.

Within the defined period of time, all future exam dates, exams without specific dates as well as past exam dates are shown.

Here you can register for or deregister from all exams with an active registration or deregistration period.

“My Exams”

Overview of all exams you are registered for.

Here you can deregister from exams or re-register for exams.

2. Search for an exam

In the “All Exams” tab you can search for a specific exam using the filter options:

You can use the new filter “Exams of my modules (course attended, exam yet to be taken, module not yet positive)” to filter by exam dates of modules containing courses you attended.

3. Assign exam to your curriculum

Click on the “Go to exam registration” button:

Please note: Once you have found your exam you have to assign it to your curriculum (under “Choose degree programme” and “Select curriculum context”). If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact your campus office.

A free registration is possible under “Select curriculum context” > “Free registration”.

4. Register for the exam

After assigning the exam to your curriculum, the “Register” button will be activated.

Click on the “Register” button.

You will be informed if your registration was successful.

If the registration was successful, your exam will appear in the “My Exams” tab.

If the registration was not successful, a notification will tell you that the registration could not be completed.

5. Deregister from the exam

Open the application “Exams” and switch to the “My Exams” tab.

Click on the “Go to exam deregistration” button for the desired exam and then on “Deregister”.
