Abstract

This thesis details the development of the Take Care App, a communication tool aimed at improving interactions between caregivers and patients. The app utilizes augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and intuitive interfaces to enhance communication, care quality, and patient satisfaction. It features integration across smartphones and tablets with an AR component for urgent notifications and immersive interactions, developed using a cross-platform Flutter framework with Firebase for backend services and Unity for AR functionalities. Key features include real-time communication, efficient data management, and secure exchanges, with AI-enhanced natural language processing to address language barriers and personalize care. Challenges in system integration and user experience were tackled through iterative design and testing, highlighting the pivotal role of digital advancements like AR and AI in transforming healthcare communications and infrastructure.
