Abstract

This master thesis deals with the impact of augmented reality in a serious game for learning Japanese kanji. First most concepts that are used in the serious game Dragon Tale are explained. Afterwords different studies for learning success with their results are shown. Followed by a new study which also includes motivation. In the end it is shown that augmented reality is, by a small margin worse than other learning methods but trumps in motivating.
