Parameters in LabVIEW-model
These parameters have to be set before converting to a VeriStand-model.
Parameters in VeriStand (as inputs)
These parameters have to be set in the system definition file of VeriStand by setting the initial values of the according inputs.
Nr. | parameter | value | unit | description | comment |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | ControlType_HeatEx_HC | 0 | - | determines based on what control input the return temperature of the heat sink is controlled TemperatureControl - 0 PowerControl - 1 | |
2 | max_HeatDemandPower (kW) | 30 | kW | max. expected value of heat demand (profile) | relevant for choosing small or big heat exchanger to withdraw heat |
3 | S_TM-HC_RL_set | 45 | °C | setpoint for the return temperature | influences how much is cooled down by the cooling circuit (PID controlled) |
4 | S_TM-HC_VL_aM_set | 60 | °C | setpoint for the supply temperature | influences how much of the return flow is added to the supply flow by the mixer |
Parameters in VeriStand (as parameters)
These parameters are parameters of the VeriStand model control&safety.
Nr. | parameter | value | unit | description | comment |

1 | max power small HeatExchanger kW | 8,5 | kW | max. power to be transferred by small heat exchanger | determines together with max_HeatDemandPower (kW) when the small or big heat exchanger is chosen to withdraw heat |
2 | S.TM-CC_VL_hyst_max | 20 | °C | upper boundary for automatically flushing the cooling water circuit | |
3 | S.TM-CC_VL_hyst_min | 15 | °C | low boundary for automatically flushing the cooling water circuit | |
4 | Speed mixer slow percent | 25 | % | percentage of time that heat mixer gets active signal when in the slow tolerance band | e.g. 50% → 1,5 sec active, 1,5 sec off e.g. 25% → 0,75 sec active, 2,25 sec off |
5 | Tsupply-Tolerance fast | 2 | K | tolerance band for deviation of return temperature from HS heat exchanger | if temperature deviates more than this tolerance, the mixing valve is adjusted fast; if temperature deviates less than this tolerance, the mixing valve is adjusted slow |
6 | Tsupply-Tolerance slow | 0,5 | K | tolerance band for deviation of return temperature from HS heat exchanger | if temperature deviates more than this tolerance, the mixing valve is adjusted slow; if temperature deviates less than this tolerance, the mixing valve not adjusted |
