BeförderungsauslagenFor a self-organized relocation you can get 400 EUR as a lump sum. In this case you do not have to submit any receipts to the Landesamt of Finanzen.
If you want to relocate with a moving company, you have to enquire two estimates of costs from different economically independent moving companies before starting the relocation. The estimates of cost must contain a binding total price (maximum price). If possible type and scope of the single moving services must be listed on the offer. The removal expenses will be reimbursed according to the lowest price. Expenses for qualified craftsmanship (e.g. carpenter, electrician,…) are no removal expenses. They are covered by a lump sum on the basis of Article 9 BayUKG.
Should you wish to transfer a car, the costs of transporting the vehicle will be reimbursed. Costs for any modifications etc. to the vehicle will not be covered.

Trip on the day of the move
You can receive travel expenses on the actual day of move for yourself, your spouse and for each children in your househould. The travel expenses are granted according to Article 7 Bay UKG for for the journey from your previous home to your new residence. The reimbursement is for the costs of using a motor vehicle, flight or any other expenses for public transport. But the costs are only reimbursed up to a maximum of 200€ per person. Please have a scan of your flight, bus or train ticket ready as a proof. If you travelled by car, you must indicate the kilometres according to your travel on the form.
Trip to search for a new accommodation
You can receive your travel expenses up to 200€ for another journey for house hunting according to the same regulations as mentioned above. Rent compensation and brokerage fees

If you have to pay rent for two flats for the same period due to the move, the rent for the flat that is not used can be reimbursed under the following cirumstances
- for the previous flat for a maximum of six months,
- for the new flat for a maximum of three months.
Please be aware that rent compensation can only be granted for periods of vacancy of four weeks and it should not be used by any means. In order to apply for the reimbursement of the rent you have to use the restrictive form and show a scan of your tenancy contracts from the previous and the new flat and rent payment receipts (copies of receipts or bank statements) as proof.
If you own a house or flat the rent compensation is only possible if your previous house or flat is in your property. In that case you have to prove that you have tried to rent out your property via common rental portals or via an agency. The customary rental value is taken as the rent compensation here.
Compensation for other removal expenses

If you have rented a flat before moving into your new residence and setting up your new home you can receive a lump sum compensation of 600€ for other relocation expenses. For each additional person (spouse and/or children) living with you in the household, the lump sum is increased by € 150 each.
