The compensation of relocation costs is usually stated in the final letter of appointment of the Technical University of Munich. This written confirmation is valid for a period of five years.
The compensation of relocation costs will be paid upon completion of the relocation by the Landesamt für Finanzen (LfF). It must be requested within six months upon completion of the relocation (Article 3 (2) BayUKG) using the provided application form. The six-month-period is a deadline and can not be extended by any means even in the case of a down payment request.
It is possible to ask for an advance payment before the move.
The allowance for relocation costs includes
1. transport expenses (Art. 6),
2. travel expenses (Art. 7),
3. rent compensation and brokerage fees (Art. 8),
4. lump-sum compensation for other removal expenses (Art. 9).
