Set wiki-space | pages public

As administrator of a wiki-spcae, you can set your wiki-spcae "public" as described below.

By default, a Wiki area in the TUM-Wiki is always "not public". The responsible administrator of a wiki-space can/must set it "public" if necessary.

As administrator or authorized person of a wiki-space, you can set individual pages within your wiki-space "public" as described below.

To set individual pages in a wiki-space "public", the responsible wiki administrator must always set the entire wiki-space "public". Pages that should not be public must be manually restricted to persons (groups)!

Step 1: Click on „Space tools“ and select „Permissions“.

Step 2: Here, you must now assign permissions for the following user category:

Anonymous AccessGrant unregistered persons access to public pages.
  1. Under "Anonymous Access" click "Edit Permissions".
  2. Enter your TUM password and click on "Confirm".
  3. Continue with step 3 below.

Step 3: In the user category "Anonymous Access" you can assign the following permissions:  

To set a wiki-space "public", it is sufficient to activate the permission "Show content".

Please note that the permissions in the "Anonymous Access" section should always be set with caution, since depending on the permissions assigned, unauthenticated, external persons can post and manage content, comments etc. here!


Step 4:
 Once the desired permissions from step 3 have been set, click "Save All".
