Abstract

Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is a calculating method, inspired by biological neural networks and used to solve complex problems. Pose estimation in Mixed Reality (MR) is mostly done by the optical tracking system, but we can also do this by comparatively smaller, less powered and low-cost inertial measurement unit (IMU) technology with the help of ANN. We can also fuse multiple IMU sensors data to avoid drifts and get more accurate results. In this research, we will concentrate on choosing the suitable ANN algorithm, in terms of accuracy and performance, by using simulated multi-IMU sensor data.
