Problem Statement: Development and design of a Serious Game game to teach Egyptian Hieroglyphs. Conduction of an experimental study.
The game is a singleplayer riddle game, where you can learn real Egyptian hieroglyphs, by playing.
Version 1.7 also features some Egyptian words, that you can write down with hieroglyphs. And if you come far enough you can play Senet, which was a popular board game in ancient Egypt.
The current project version (1.7) can be found on Github: https://github.com/Tim0theus/Hiero2
It adds a second level, with some Biliterals, Triliterals and Egyptian words. It also includes a tutorial, hint system, lexicon and tabular literal selector.
Please fill out the following survey after playing the game (1.7 or later): To the Survey
The first version (1.0), can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
It contains the first level, where most of the Uniliterals can be learned by solving riddles.
