Founding Workshop 01 December 2023
Dear interested parties of the Academic Energy Cooperative, we hope you had a great start into the semester! At the Academic Energy Cooperative, we also want to kick things off and begin our journey towards founding the cooperative – together with you!
In case you missed the last information event, you can find all topics on this wiki page, which will also be our online presence under construction for now: https://collab.dvb.bayern/display/TUMacademicenergycooperative/Academic+Energy+Cooperative+@+TUM
Furthermore, we’re now working closely with a research project TUM is part of: “Creating NEBourhoods Together” (https://www.nebourhoods.de/) tries to also implement an energy cooperative in Neuperlach. This cooperative could be a cooperation partner and location for our first projects, and we can also learn from each other on the way to founding!
Next Steps
Founding Workshop
To create a common vision and begin working in all the different groups, we would like to have a kick off workshop. Proposed Date: Friday, 1.12., 16:30 - approx. 19:30 Please enter here whether you can join the workshop: https://forms.office.com/e/F55pUmghtc
Things to do until then
In the meantime, we would like to work on some topics. Those mostly include research but also some creativity, and we would be glad to have you on board already. We’ll coordinate everything in our Microsoft Teams, for an explanation on how to join see below! The topics and respective working groups in Teams are:
- Public Relations
- Designing materials (for social media as well as a poster/flyer) to promote the cooperative and especially the workshop
- Brainstorming designs for a logo
- Brainstorming for corporate identity/branding
- Founding Workshop
- Think of possible formats for the founding workshop
- Develop an agenda
- We could invite experts for the different working groups, do you know somebody?
- Finance
- Think of different business models or parts of business models
- Think of ways to present them nicely
- Legal
- Researching which town councils (Kommunen) in Germany actively participate in energy cooperatives (are part of them or give their roofs etc.).
- Working on the charter (Satzung): We already have a first draft, you can research some more and brainstorm what would be good to include etc.
How to work on the topics?
In each of the mentioned working groups (channels in teams), we will write a message repeating the information. If you want to work on a topic, please just write a short sentence in the comment section of the message! Furthermore, we have a tab “tasks” in each channel, where you can assign yourself to a task and create new tasks.
For documenting your ideas and work, please (in each channel) use the tab “Dateien” to store files and the tab “OneNote” for notes. Furthermore, if you feel more comfortable with Miro, you can also use the Miro boards posted into the channels. Furthermore, you can already fill out the template in the Miro boards of the working groups you are interested in.
If you have any questions, you are highly encouraged to just write a message into the channels or reach out to Serena, Markus or Manuel directly via the chat function of Teams! Furthermore, we will have a meeting once some people joined the Team to discuss the tasks.
