The Idea
We try to support multiple facets of training. Scenarios are:
- Training at home, limited space available
- Movement recording and analysis
- Exploring visualization methods to foster learning of techniques, movement patterns, forms, etc.
What is hardly possible (without considerable/prohibitive effort or danger) but essential for martial arts:
- physical contact while training alone
- having a partner with fast, flexibly and dynamic actions/reactions
The Goal
Explore the added possibilities that a Mixed Reality environment brings to martial arts training while being cognisant of the dangers of reduced/altered vision and improper guidance.
Explore ways to circumvent areas where Mixed Reality is lacking (physical responses) and focus on beneficial training methods.
