This page explains, how to create a new page and use important Makros.

Create a new page

First, direct to the correct section, which is the winter term you are currently taking the course, within the "Reports" section:

To create a new page, press the button "Erstellen" marked in blue in the image above or press 'c'. Then a new page opens, where you have to enter the title of your report. By pressing "Speichern" on the bottom right, this page is saved.

Structure

Introduction

At the beginning, the introduction of your report should be placed. Please insert an overview of the sections at the end of this. You can do this by using the Makro "Inhalt", which will automatically generate it and update the overview, when you add or change sections. You can find this by clicking on the '+' symbol above and then choosing "Inhalt". You can leave the default settings:

Sections

After the introduction, you can start with your sections. You can use the pre-defined formats for headings, which also define the depth of the section respectively subsection. For sections, choose "Überschrift 2", for subsections "Überschrift 3" and so on:

Some helpful Makros

Columns

To place a picture next to text or writing text in two columns, you need the "Column" Makro. However, the column Makro can only be used in a "Section" Makro, so this needs to be defined first. This is not listed in the short list of Makros, when you click on '+', therefore you have to scroll down to "Andere Makros":

There, you can either scroll down to "Section" or just enter it in the search bar:

You do not have to regard any settings here, but just press "Einfügen"

After that, place your cursor in the section and choose the "Column" Makro. You can either search it in the search bar or scroll down again. For this Makro, you have to define the width, which can either be entered in percent or in pixels:

Depending on how many columns you want to have, you have to repeat this procedure and place the columns below each other.

Latex Math Block

To enter equations using Latex, you need the Makro "LaTeX Math Block", which you can find in the list, that drops down, when you click on the '+' symbol. There, you can enter your equation using Latex syntax. Note, that no special packages are installed, so you might get errors with special commands. If you want to reference this equation later, you have to define an anchor name:

To reference this block later, use the "LaTeX Math Block Reference" Makro, which you can also find in "Andere Makros" by looking for it in the search bar:

Here, you have to place the anchor you gave the block and also the name of the page, if the block is not on the same page. Finally, you can also set a text, that will be shown in the link or leave this blank to get the number of the equation in brackets.

LaTeX Math Inline

If you want to use LaTeX Math mode inline, which is equivalent to using $$ in LaTeX, you have to use this Makro. You can also find this Makro in the drop-down list when you press on the '+' symbol.

Insert images

To insert images, you can click on the image icon in the bar above

First, you have to upload the image you want to insert by clicking on the button with the cloud symbol.

Then your explorer will open where you can direct to the folder your image is saved. Afterwards, it will appear in the list of images uploaded to the page where you can select it to insert it. By clicking on this image you can adjust some features of the picture. To define a heading for the image, you have to click on "Eigenschaften" on the very right. In "Überschrift" you can enter the heading.

This heading will only appear, when you hover over the image with the mouse. For photos that need a description, you can can add one by creating a 1x2 table in the bar above using the grid icon. In the first row you can then insert the image like described above and in the second row you can write the description.

Links to other pages or anchors

If you want to make a link or reference to another page, choose "Verknüpfung einfügen", respectively Ctrl + K, in the bar above. At "Erweitert" you can just enter the name of the page. If you want to link to a specific section on that page, you have to place an anchor there first. This is again a Makro which can be found under the "+"-symbol \rightarrow "Andere Makros" \rightarrow "Anker". There you simply have to enter a unique name for your anchor and then it will be placed at the text your cursor is located at the moment.

The link to this anchor can be generated with the same Makro "Verknüpfung einfügen" but now you have to reference the anchor by #anchorName. If this anchor is located on a different page than the page where you want to place your link, you have to put the name of the page in front before: PageName#anchorName.
