Web Map Service is a standard protocol for serving georeferenced map images over the Internet that are generated by a map server using data from a GIS. WMS is an international standard developed by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). [read further]

Web Processing Service is designed to standardize the way how calculations, transformations, and even simulations are made available to the Internet. WPS can describe any computation process including all of its inputs and outputs, and trigger its execution as a Web Service. City Geography Markup Language is a conceptual data model and exchange format for semantic 3D city models. It is an open international standard issued by the OGC. [read further]

COLLAborative Design Activity defines a database schema and XML encoding for the exchange of 3D assets between applications like 3D authoring and processing tools as well as 3D visualization software.
