Abstract
The intent of this thesis is to further improve an augmented reality serious game about Celtic life that incorporates elements of board games. The main goal is to broaden the use of augmented reality technologies and ease entry to the game. A version of the game is implemented to utilize the Microsoft HoloLens to build on the excitement of augmented reality and to enhance the player's urge of improvement in the game.
Furthermore an optional single-player tutorial is added to present the player with a simple introduction to all aspects of the game. A user study is conducted in which the participants play through the tutorial and the game, with the intent to conduct a comparison between the tablet version and the HoloLens version of the game.
