Abstract
To support the teaching of the physical concept of magnetic fields, we created a serious game that uses magnets as gameplay elements in augmented reality. In order to make this game accurate and helpful, it contains a simulation of magnetic fields in 3d and multiple methods of visualizing these fields. This simulation is extensible to different types of magnets and their interactions with electrical conductors. Finally, the application uses 3d object tracking to project the visualization onto actual magnets in physical experiments and include them into the gameplay.[ PDF ]
