Abstract

The main goal of this thesis is to create a tool that simplifies the boss design process for the developers. This tool should also be intuitive to use and flexible enough to provide the basic functionality for boss fights. In order to achieve defined goals, the research in the thesis gives an answer to the following question: How effective can the tool adapt to the different design ideas from real games? The thesis first introduces design and implementation aspects of the tool. Then, the thesis provides three applications of the tool that recreate boss fights from real games. The main purpose of these applications is to provide the sufficient foundation for the answer to the defined research question. Then, results get a critical analysis, revealing potential improvements and extensions for the tool implementation. According to obtained results of the analysis, the tool effectively recreates boss fights from real games with some limitations. The thesis concludes that the tool increases the developer’s productivity.
