Abstract

Mixed Reality (MR) offers a broad range of possibilities and applications, leading to an increasing rise in popularity in science and industry. This fast growing field enables the implementation of unique new ways of working with mixed reality, yet this highly interdisciplinary field also possesses various challenges. Since MR applications mostly work on only one platform, problems show up whenever two different users utilize different hardware or software. This thesis describes how real-time network transfer is enabled regardless of the platform being used. With the framework Ubi-Interact a way to send and receive data to describe objects from arbitrary applications was developed. Beforehand an improvement to the server publishing was made to decrease the workload of the server.
