Was ist der Initiative Fund?
Es handelt sich um die Bereitstellung von finanziellen Mitteln, um kooperative Projekte zu fördern und die Eigeninitiative der Promovierenden anzuregen. Sie haben die Möglichkeit Gruppenmaßnahmen oder Einzelmaßnahmen zu beantragen.
Wie erfolgt die Verteilung und Auszahlung?
Die Gelder sollen gemäß dem Motto „first come first serve“ flexibel bereitstehen und laufend abgerufen werden. Hierzu wird das Antragsverfahren über das GC-ED möglichst niederschwellig gestaltet und die Promovierendenvertretung entscheidet zusammen mit dem GC-ED über Anträge. Der Lehrstuhl geht fiananizell in Vorleistung und beteiligt sich ebenfalls an den anfallenden Kosten. Anschließend geht eine Gesamtrechnung mit Buchungskennzeichen über die bewilligte Summe an das GC-ED. Der Ausgleich erfolgt im Folgenden über die TUM Graduate School.
Förderung von Gruppenmaßnahmen
Gefördert werden können z.B. Veranstaltungen, Seminare, Networking-Events initiiert durch die Promovierenden, interdisziplinäre Workshops, kooperative Projekte von Promovierenden für Promovierende.
Zu beachten ist hierbei, dass grundsätzlich mehr als nur ein/e Promovierende/r profitieren sollte, dass es ein Teamprojekt mit Gruppenziel sein sollte, dass die Teilnehmer/innen von mehrern Lehrstühlen sind und dass es sich z.B. um den fachlichen Austausch & Organisation von Konferenzen und Workshops, Einladung von Gastdozenten/innen bei Seminaren, fachliche Weiterbildung für ein Team von Promovierenden, internationaler Austausch ect. handelt.

Förderung von Einzelmaßnahmen
Hier ist die finanzielle Unterstützung der aktiven Teilnahme an Fachtagungen/Konferenzen in Deutschland, die nicht durch die reguläre Internationalisierungsförderung über die TUM GS abgedeckt sind, möglich. Voraussetzung ist, dass sich der Lehrstuhl an den anfallenden Reisekosten beteiligt. Den entsprechenden Antrag finden Sie hier.

What is the Initiative Fund?
It is about the provision of financial resources to promote cooperative projects and to stimulate the doctoral students' own initiative. You have the option of applying for group measures or individual measures.
How is the distribution and payment made?
According to the motto "first come first serve", the funds should be available flexibly and called up on an ongoing basis. For this purpose, the application process via the GC-ED is designed to be as low-threshold as possible and the doctoral student representatives decide on applications together with the GC-ED. The chair shares the costs with the GC-ED and makes an advance payment. Then it sends the GC-ED a total invoice with a booking reference for the approved amount. The compensation then takes place via the TUM GS.
Promotion of group measures
Events, seminars, networking events initiated by the doctoral students, interdisciplinary workshops, cooperative projects by doctoral students for doctoral students, can be funded. It should be noted here that more than just one doctoral candidate should benefit, that it should be a team project with a group goal, that the participants should be from several chairs and that it is, for example, about the professional exchange and organization of conferences and workshops, inviting guest lecturers to seminars, professional training for a team of doctoral students, international exchange, etc.

Promotion of individual measures
Financial support for active participation in specialist meetings/conferences in Germany that are not covered by the regular internationalization funding via the TUM GS is possible here. A condition is that the chair pays a share of the travel costs that arise. You can find the relevant application here.
