Project Description

Project description:

Our multi- and interdisciplinary team at the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy at TUM examines individual-level behavioral responses to the introduction of new technologies in health and medicine (especially digital technologies and AI-supported tools). PREP-Program student researchers will work with us on background research as well as managing and analyzing data collected through surveys experiments and other empirical methods as part of a multi-national research network with collaborators across multiple European countries. Their research will address questions such as: What explains citizens' expectations and acceptance of technological change in health and medicine? What role do trust in government, trust in science, and political partisanship play attitudes and behavior towards novel health technologies? And how does citizens’ satisfaction with health policies affect their political preferences and voting behavior?

Working hours per week planned:

40
