Project description:

AIM1: BASICS
You will learn the basics of CRISPR gene editing and how to use tools to design guide RNAs or find new CRISPR proteins in sequence and structure databases.

AIM2: ENGINEER
You will learn how to use structure-guided and in silico protein design, clone new protein variants, and test CRISPR proteins in human cells.

AIM3: EDIT
You will apply existing CRISPR tools like Cas9, Base Editing, Prime Editing, and new tools from Aims 1-2 to install and/or correct clinically relevant mutations in human cells.
