XAI: Explainable Artificial Intelligence
This AI co-design studio is part of a research project funded by alignAI and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, and will be held at the LS Design Lab, at Marsstraße 20, 80335 München.
Please contact xiaoyuw.wang@tum.de with any questions.
In this studio, we invite young people to bring creativity and turn complex AI knowledge into tangible tools. In an inspired and creative design space, participants will:
- Learn about AI explainability, transparency, and how AI systems work
- Brainstorm tangible solutions with various materials to help others understand AI knowledge
- Involve the design and evaluation of tangible toolkits that can support understanding AI systems
- Enhance creative and problem-solving skills
Together, we'll learn the underlying mechanisms of AI functions such as image generation and dataset construction, explore how tangible materials can reveal the “black box” inside AI systems, and design toolkits to explain the knowledge to the world. No previous experience is required.
This AI co-design studio will be led by facilitators from the Technische Universität München's LS Design team and the LS Design Lab.
The AI co-design studio will be held in English.
The AI co-design studio is part of the alignAI project (https://alignai.eu) at the Technical University of Munich.
