As administrator of a wiki space, you can assign permissions to different user categories as described below.
In order for persons/groups to be able to act in a wiki space (e.g. edit pages, etc.), they must first be authorized globally!
Step 1: Click on "Space tools" at the bottom left and select "Permissions" from the menu.
Step 2: Here you can now assign permissions for subsequent user categories:
| User categories | |
|---|---|
| Groups (1) | Grant all members of a group from TUMonline permissions for a wiki-space. |
| Individual Users (2) | Grant permissions to individual users regardless of their group membership. |
| Anonymous Access (3) | Grant unregistered persons access to public pages in your wiki space. |
Authorize groups (1)
Authorize individual users (2)
Authorize anonymous users (3)
In the "Anonymous Access" section you can set your wiki space "public" and grant unregistered persons access/view to your wiki content!
Step 3: If the user category is selected in step 2, you can assign subsequent authorizations to it if required:
| Permissions | Options |
|---|---|
| All | View content (yes or no) |
| Pages | Add | Delete (yes or no) |
| Blog | Add | Delete (yes or no) |
| Comments | Add | Delete (yes or no) |
| Attachments | Add | Delete (yes or no) |
| Restrictions | Add | Delete (yes or no) |
| Delete (yes or no) | |
| Space | Export | Admin (yes or no) |
Please note that the permissions in the "Anonymous Access" section should always be set with caution, since depending on the permissions assigned, unauthenticated, external persons can post and manage content, comments etc. here!
Step 4: Once the user category from step 2 has been selected and the desired permissions from step 3 have been set, click "Save all".
