Accounts and permissions are assigned within the framework of "LRZ projects" and are done decentrally by so-called "master users" who are authorised by the head of the respective institution and act as contact persons between the institution and the LRZ. If you do not know the master users at your institution, please contact the LRZ Service Desk. If your institution does not yet have an LRZ project, you can apply for one at any time from the head of your institution (head of institute, chair or similar). You can find more information on this in the contribution Assignment of Accounts by Master Users.
For people who work at an institution for a short period of time (up to 7 days) and do not need any other LRZ services except access to the Internet via WLAN (eduroam), the master users of a project at the institution can set up such WLAN guest accounts at any time. If you do not know any master users at your institution, please read the section above Accounts for employees of other institutions/Universities of Applied Sciences.
