Photo Competition by CYSTINET-Africa & the Center for Global Health
We are inviting You to take part in our first photo competition with the motto Africa Through Your Lens. Show us Your favourite picture, which best describes Your Africa.
Do also encourage friends and colleagues to take part! You can support each other in the voting stage!
Motif Ideas:
In principle, your possibilities are endless. A beautiful motif can be a special moment that encapsulates your relationship with Africa. We want to show as many facets of Africa and academic work in Africa as possible with your pictures. Therefore, it would be particularly exciting if you could include your field of study or one of the following:
- Scenic landscapes
- Pig keeping
- Daily life
- Rural scenes of daily living, mobility and infrastructure
- (Neuro)Cysticercosis / Taeniosis
- Students at work (e.g. in the lab or in the field

You can submit up to 4 Pictures (more pictures = better chance to win)
Submission is opened until 16.08.2021
Technical Requirements:
Landscape Format
Resolution of at least 300 dpi
Preferably on .jpg or .tif format
Image Descriptions and Legal Basis:
Please submit a suitable image title and an image description of approx. 1-3 sentences for your photo(s).
Please note the legal basis for submitting photo to CYSTINET-Africa and the CGH.
Voting
Everybody can vote for the winning picture here, the picture with the most votes will win.
Voting will be open until mid September, we will share the voting URL on our social media and with participants via email.
Prize
The photographers of the 3 most liked pictures will be announced at the end of September (30.09) and receive a certificate.
The photographer of the winning submission will receive a brand new system camera!
