Learning Modules Recommender Applications

TUMonline, the campus management system of Technische Universität München, supports the student’s lifecycle – starting from application and enrolement to curriculum design, from administration of modules, courses and exams to graduation and alumni membership. 

In the first of these projects the curriculum view known from TUMonline has been extended to provide a quick overview to students, faculty and study coordinators about the attendance of modules offered.  Regarding the importance of recommendations from fellow students, students council, student advisory services or even professors, we further investigate students decision making process and community-based recommendation strategies for study program options.
