Die TUM School of Engineering and Design hat sich Maßnahmen und Plattformen überlegt, um Incoming Studierende zu unterstützen und ihnen das Einleben in München zu erleichtern. Die Plattformen sind natürlich auch dazu da, dass Sie mit den Incomings Kontakt aufnehmen können. Wir freuen uns über Ihre Unterstützung bei diesen Maßnahmen!
Dazu haben wir das Buddy-Programm eingeführt, bei welchem den Gaststudierenden TUM-Studierende der Architektur als Buddies zugeteilt werden, die Ihnen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen. Die Aufgaben eines Buddies können zum Beispiel Hilfe bei der Wohnungssuche, Unterstützung bei Behördengängen oder dem Herstellen des ersten Kontakts zwischen den Studierenden aus dem Ausland und den aus dem Bereich Architektur der TUM sein. Insgesamt soll den Studierenden aus dem Ausland das Einleben erleichtert werden – sowohl in München als auch an der TUM. Der Kontakt zwischen Buddy und Austauschstudierenden soll sich möglichst frei entwickeln. Die Buddy-Tätigkeit ist nicht als Vollzeitbetreuung zu verstehen. Im Gegenteil – die Buddy-Tätigkeit soll vor allen Dingen Spaß machen und dazu genutzt werden, gute und nette Kontakte zu Studierenden aus dem Ausland zu knüpfen!
Die Tätigkeit als Buddy verschafft Ihnen zudem die Möglichkeit, Ihre internationale Kompetenz zu erweitern und neue Kulturkreise kennen zu lernen, Ihre Fremdsprachenkenntnisse zu verbessern und dem Buddy beim Erwerb der deutschen Sprache zu helfen. Nicht zuletzt können Sie hilfreiche Kontakte für den eigenen Auslandsaufenthalt knüpfen. Es werden laufend neue Buddies gesucht. The TUM School of Engineering and Design has come up with initiatives to support incoming students and make it easier for them to settle in Munich. Of course, the initiatives are also designed to enable you to get in touch with the incoming students. We appreciate your support!
We have introduced the Buddy Programme for this purpose, in which visiting students are assigned TUM students of architecture as buddies. The intention is for you to provide advice and support to our Incoming students. The tasks of a buddy can be, for example, help in finding a flat, support in dealing with the authorities or establishing the first contact between the students from abroad and those from the architecture department at TUM. Overall, the intention is to make it easier for the students from abroad to settle in - both in Munich and at TUM. The contact between buddy and incoming exchange students should develop as freely as possible. The buddy activity is not to be understood as full-time support or to give academic advice. On the contrary - the buddy activity should above all be fun and be used to develop your networking skills with students from around the world!
Working as a buddy also gives you the opportunity to expand your international competence and get to know new cultures, improve your foreign language skills and help your buddy learn German. Last but not least, you can make helpful contacts for your own stay abroad. We are always looking for new buddies. We look forward to active support from our students!
