Re-registration

Exchange students who are accepted for two semesters at the TUM have to re-register before the start of the second semester. You are re-registered as soon as you have paid the student union fees within the re-registration deadline:

Extension of the stay abroad

As an exchange student, you can study at the TUM for two semesters at most. If you wish to extend your stay, please contact the incoming.ad@ed.tum.de and the TUM Global and Alumni Office in sufficient time before the lecture period ends. For that, you will have to state your reasons for the extension and you will need to provide a new learning agreement for the next semester. Additionally, you will need written approval from your home university that you may extend your stay abroad (an email is enough).


Exchange students who are admitted for an extended semester have to re-register before the start of the new semester, too. Re-registration is done by paying the student union fees to the registration office (Immatrikulationsamt) in time:
