  • A role supplies its holder with a set of rights within a specific area and within a specific unit.
  • Examples: TUMonline administrator, examiner, telephone administrator.

Rights

  • Individual rights are grouped into sets that are tied to a specific role. They give the holder of this role access to TUMonline that is required to carry out the respective roles.
  • Examples: Examination administration-> creating examinations, evaluating candidates, establishing registration deadlines. 
  • If you require a specific right such as administering lectures or examinations, you must have the corresponding role allocated to you in TUMonline.
