Graduiertenzentren
Die TUM Graduate School gliedert sich in Graduiertenzentren der promotionsführenden Einrichtungen (TUM Schools und Fakultäten) und interdisziplinäre Graduiertenzentren. Diese Graduiertenzentren sind die ersten Anlaufstellen für die Promovierenden u.a. bei Fragen zu:
- Administrativen Schritten rund um die Promotion (z.B. Betreuungsvereinbarung, Feedbackgespräch)
- Anforderungen der TUM Graduate School (Pflichtprogramm)
- Fachspezifischem Qualifizierungsprogramm
- Internationalisierungsförderung
- Ggf. spezifischen Anforderungen des Graduiertenzentrums
Jedes Graduiertenzentrum verfügt über eine eigene Internetseite, auf der Sie umfangreiche Informationen zum angebotenen Programm und den Services, Merkblättern und Guidelines, sowie die Kontaktinformationen der jeweiligen Ansprechpersonen finden.
Graduate Centers
The TUM Graduate School is organized into Graduate Centers for degree-awarding institutions (TUM Schools and Departments) and interdisciplinary Graduate Centers. These Graduate Centers are the first point of contact for graduate students with questions about, among other things:
- Administrative steps for doctoral programs (e.g. a supervision agreement, feedback meeting)
- The requirements of the TUM Graduate School (required courses)
- Subject-specific qualification programs
- Internationalization support
- Any specific requirements of the Graduate Center
Each Graduate Center has its own webpage, where you can find extensive information about the program it offers and its services, information sheets and guidelines, as well as contact information for the respective contact person.

TUM-GS Geschäftsstelle
Die Geschäftsstelle der TUM-GS unterstützt Promovierende, Betreuende und in den Promotionsprozess eingebundene Einheiten mit Qualifizierungsangeboten und Services. Sie koordiniert auch die Zusammenarbeit der Graduiertenzentren und ist für die organisatorische Abwicklung der Aufgaben der TUM-GS zuständig. Zu diesen Kernaufgaben zählen Qualitätssicherung, Personal-, Berichts- und Finanzwesen ebenso wie Marketing, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und die Administration der Online-Plattform DocGS.

TUM-GS Management Office
The Management Office of the TUM-GS supports doctoral candidates, advisors and units involved in the doctoral process with qualification offerings and services. It also coordinates collaborations between the Graduate Centers, and is responsible for the organizational handling of tasks at the TUM-GS. Its core tasks include quality assurance, HR, reporting, and finance, as well as marketing, publicity, and administration of the DocGS online platform.

TUM Graduate Council
An der TUM Graduate School schätzen wir die Meinungen unserer Promovierenden und geben ihnen ein Sprachrohr, diese nach außen zu tragen. Jedes Graduiertenzentrum wählt drei Vertreterinnen bzw. Vertreter in den Graduate Council (Doktorandenkonvent), der regelmäßig zur Diskussion über alle relevanten Themen rund um die Promotion zusammenkommt.
Wollen Sie etwas an Ihrer Universität bewegen? Dann werden Sie Mitglied im Graduate Council und informieren Sie sich über die im deutschen und europäischen Umfeld stattfindenden Diskussionen rund um das Thema Promotion. Der Graduate Council stellt sichert, dass die Interessen der Promovierenden im Vorstand sowie über diesen hinaus vertreten werden und dass sie an der Gestaltung des Programms teilnehmen können. Bitte informieren Sie sich bei Ihrem jeweiligen Graduiertenzentrum über Ansprechpartner und Wahlperioden.

TUM Graduate Council
At TUM Graduate School , we value the opinions of our doctoral candidates and give them a mouthpiece to communicate them publicly. Each Graduate Center chooses two representatives to serve on the Graduate Council, which meets regularly to discuss all of the issues relating to doctoral research.
Do you want to make a difference at your university? Join the Graduate Council and become informed about the discussions taking place in Germany and Europe surrounding doctoral programs. The Graduate Council ensures that doctoral candidates’ interests are represented on the Graduate Council and beyond, and that they can take part in shaping the program. Please ask your respective departmental Graduate Center or your thematic Graduate Center about contact partners and election periods.
