General information

Office hours

The official opening hours of the Cluster building are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. At 8:00 pm an IPP security guard will close the entrance doors and reopen at 6:00 am. It is always possible to leave the building! In case access to the building is required outside the official opening hours (i.e. on weekends) you’ll have to register at the IPP entrance gate and a government-issued ID has to be presented. If you leave the Cluster building after 8:00 pm, you are required to sign out at the IPP gate on the EXC 153 form.

Locking the doors

For reasons both of safety and security, the last person to leave the Cluster building is responsible for locking the doors to the kitchen and printer/post room and to switch off the electrical appliances (printer, coffee machine etc.).

Keys

Keys to the office room, the printer/post room and the kitchen will be handed out by Sonja Lutz-Lampertseder. Do not pass keys around, you are personally responsible for the use made of your key. If extra keys are needed, please ask Sonja Lutz-Lampertseder. Please remember to give back your keys upon leaving.

Parking

Only employees of the MPIs and the Excellence Cluster are allowed to park their cars at the IPP-Campus. Therefore, please carry your IPP-Campus ID with you at all times.

Leaving the cluster

please do not forget to bring back your keys and other hardware or software you received during your stay at the cluster. Please note that software licences in general expire with the end of your contract with the TUM/LMU.

Kitchen

Please put your cups, dishes etc. in the dish-washer after use. It’s located in the cabinet below the coffee machine. Please load and unload the dishwasher, we don’t have a special service for that. Tabs are to be found under the sink. Please keep the kitchen clean.

Coffee, Milk

Espresso, cappuccino and regular coffee are available from the coffee machine in the kitchen and will be charged 30 Cents/cup. Milk is available in the fridge. Please check the list next to the coffee machine. If you're a milk-only drinker, we ask you to please check the list as well. By the end of each month Sonja Lutz will collect the coffee money.
