Before commencement of work at TUM you need to request a certificate of conduct for presentation to a German authority (certificate of conduct for official purposes).
The certificate of good conduct must be applied for
1) in person by presenting the identity card or passport at the local registration office or
2) via the online portal of the Federal Office of Justice. To request it online, you need the new electronic identity card or an electronic residence permit and a card reader. Click here to go to the online portal.
