Project Description

Project description:

The CowEnergy project focuses on the production of renewable energy on dairy farms, optimizing self-energy use and the demand-oriented supply of energy to regional grids.
The CowEnergy project offers a wide range of project opportunities for students across various fields of study. These include economic analyses for farms and regions, ecological sustainability assessments, and sociological acceptance studies in agriculture and society. In the agricultural field, students can evaluate the overall farming system, analyze the interaction between livestock management and energy management, and explore future perspectives for agriculture. In mechanical engineering, there are opportunities to design electrical machines, charging systems, or energy storage solutions. Additionally, there are opportunities to develop educational programs in this area.
There is no fixed project; instead, it can be tailored to the knowledge, experience, and interests of the interested student.
