We want to send you a starter-kit with nice suprise material and information. Therefore we need to know your laboratory’s postal address.

Please give your team a (funny) name. If you do not wish to choose a team name, your team will be given the name of the organisational unit listed above.

Please state how many people from your lab are taking part in the challenge

Enter the number of ULT freezers you wish to participate with in the challenge.

Interests

The following questions are only to receive information from your side about further projects and possible cooperation and do not effect your participation.

Nevertheless the first question could effect your participation, since it is one of four measures for reaching the silver level within the freezer challenge. Two of the four measures must be fulfilled to reach the silver level. Find detailed information here: Checklist

Are you interested in measuring the electricity consumption of your ULT freezer(s)? If you are interested the devices will be sent to your lab by the Sustainability Office for a dedicated time. Once you have registered, you will be informed of when you will receive the device.

Are you interested in joining a peer-to-peer platform (a team in Microsoft Teams) to share knowledge and experiences about sustainable laboratory practices and the Freezer Challenge with other participants in the challenge?

Are you interested in becoming a pilot lab at TUM to test a new international, open-source platform for sustainability certification of labs (SparkHub) from this autumn onwards? We would like to assess the usability and certification system of the platform with a view to rolling it out at TUM.

Declaration of consent for the processing of personal data

The data collected in this registration form will only be used in the context of the organization of the TUM Freezer Challenge. This includes in particular:

  • Organisation and administration of the challenge

  • Communication with participants during the challenge period

  • Evaluation, rankings, and determination of winners

  • Awarding prizes or certificates

Only the organizers of the event (TUM Sustainability Office - Climate Action Team) will have access to the personal data.

Deletion

The deletion of personal data takes place 3 months after the event.

Your rights
  • a right to information
  • a right to rectification or deletion or to restriction of processing or a right to object to processing
  • a right to data portability
  • you also have the right to file a complaint with the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection.
Consequences of revocation of consent

Upon receipt of the declaration of revocation, your data may not be further processed and will be deleted immediately. The revocation of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point. Please send your revocation to the address below. You will no longer be able to take part in the challenge once we have received your declaration of revocation
