After successful enrollment, students receive an email notification from Munich University of Applied Sciences.

In addition to the assigned username and personal HM email address, this notification also contains a link to download their personal PIC.

The link is valid for 30 days from the date the email is sent and can be accessed a maximum of three times.

Have you not received an email?

If you have not received an email, please contact the Student Advisory Service

You can download your PIC from the following website.

You must then use it to activate your university account via the HM myIT Portal:

  • Start the acitvation at my.it.hm.edu
  • Select »Studierendenaccount aktivieren«

  • You will then be presented with an initial form requesting your personal information.

  • Please enter your assigned username, your date of birth, and your PIC. The PIC is divided into four blocks, each containing either 4 or 3 characters.

  • Then select Verify Data.

We recommend using the QR code or the link provided in the PDF document. This will automatically populate the PIC field and help prevent errors during data entry.

If an error occurs during this step, you will receive a corresponding error message.
