What to expect: Storytelling has been a buzzword for years, with nothing seeming to achieve success without a good story. But does storytelling fit with science? Absolutely. Join us for this engaging storytelling session designed specifically for scientists. Learn how to effectively communicate complex ideas and research findings through the power of narrative. Discover techniques to captivate your audience, simplify intricate concepts, and make your science accessible and impactful. This session takes you on a journey into the world of great stories.

  • How is a good story structured?
  • What is the Hero's Journey and why do I need it?
  • How can I transform complex ideas into simple and accessible images?
  • What is the importance of my target audience?
  • How do I keep my audience engaged?


Our speaker: Despina Grammatikopulu is an exceptionally experienced storyteller. After earning her Master's degree in Theatre Studies and Communication Studies, she completed a screenwriting degree at the University of Television and Film Munich. During this time, she developed feature films and series. Since 2005, she has been working as a freelance writer for Bayerischer Rundfunk, creating numerous historical documentaries. Furthermore, she developed and managed scientific programs such as "Space Night Science." She expanded her skills by becoming a Business Trainer, Coach, and Change Management Consultant in 2023. Despina Grammatikopulu believes in the power of well-told stories and their ability to shape the future. With great enthusiasm, she shares her knowledge of impactful storytelling in workshops and masterclasses.
