Following TUM Publication Guidelines, TUM researchers (e.g., Professors, visiting scholars, postdocs, and Ph.D. students) are asked to indicate in any written/oral publications, presentations, proposals, websites, conferences, email signatures, etc, their affiliation with all higher-level units at TUM (i.e., Schools, Integrative Research Institutes (IRIs), Central Institutes or Clusters of Excellence). The institution at which the predominant part of the research work for the publication in question was conducted is named first. The updated publication guidelines have been approved by the TUM Board of Management and are binding for all TUM members as well as for visiting scholars who research and publish at TUM during their residency. The affiliation designation can then have the following form:
