Publications are key in the development and recognition of TUM, MIRMI, its memebers and their teams. By following the Publication Guidelines for TUM Integrative Research Institutes, every publication contributes to making our community more internationally visible, and makes of our Integrative Research Institute an attrative trust-worthy partner when raising public and private research funding. MediaTUM is the media and publications repository of the Technical University of Munich. The content published here is indexed by many third-party services such as the German National Library and Google Scholar. Our MIRMI website is also connected to MediaTUM, all documents on MediaTUM tagged as "MIRMI" will be displayed on our website. Please indicate your MIRMI affiliation on MediaTUM when submitting your publications.

How to indicate your MIRMI affiliation on MediaTUM?
CASE 1. When authors are from the same TUM Chair, tag your publication with "MIRMI" in the field "export marker" on MediaTUM
Please give MIRMI affiliation by choosing "MIRMI" in the new export marker on mediaTUM (see screenshot below).
CASE 2. If there are multiple authors A, B, C from different TUM Chairs X, Y, Z for one publication P, the preferred approach is described as follows
- All Authors decide which one of them creates the mediaTUM record.
- The selected author A creates the record for publication P and sets the export marker to "MIRMI".
- Author A publishes the record in his or her Chair directory.
Author A contacts mediatum@ub.tum.de and specifies that publication P is also relevant for chairs X, Y, Z.
Please put the other authors involved or contact person at chair x,y,z in cc of the respective mail- MediaTUM classifies publication P to all relevant Chairs - It is still one single record but will be listed in the mediaTUM directories of Chairs X, Y, Z.
As a result, all authors A, B, C will have the record for publication P in their respective Chair directory and can also edit it there. Since there is only one single record for publication P, there will be no duplicates in the publication lists created by Typo3 (i.e., Typo3 is the CMS of TUM Websites).
