Course Description:

In our 3D Printing Workshop, you will learn the basics of 3D printing. This includes the functionality of conventional 3D printers (FDM & SLA), the modeling of simple 3D models in CAD, and the operation of the so-called Slicer software, which generates the machine code for the printer from 3D objects.

They will take place from 17:00 to approx. 19:00 on the 17.12.24 and 18.12.24 (Tuesday and Wednesday)

A workshop takes about two hours. If someone has to leave early, that's no problem.

During the workshop, you will get to know the Ender 3 3D printer and learn how to use it. After attending our workshops, you will be able to design and fabricate your own objects.

In the weeks following the workshops, there will be regular free printing hours where you can drop by and work on your own projects. Check it out here.

If you have any questions, we can always be reached at 3d.ldv@xcit.tum.de.

Please note

A laptop with the CURA software from Ultimaker and the CAD software Fusion 360 from Autodesk is required for the workshop. Both can be downloaded free of charge from the provider's website. For Fusion 360, as a Linux user, you need a VirtualMachine with Windows.
