There is two types of equations in Fiduswriter:
- inline equations: These are short equation snippets inside your text
- main equations: These are larger or longer equations that start at a new line, and are frequently labelled.
In order to insert a main equation, you have to press the 'image' icon:
The equation itself is written in LaTeX code and immediately displayed as shown above. Note that in the current version of Fiduswriter (April 2021) it is not possible to label equations automatically/consecutively - it is only possible to label images consecutively. Full equation labeling will be introduced later in 2021 in a software upgrade.
